Cougars Fall To Tennessee-Chattanooga

MORAGA, Calif. - The Washington State women's basketball team fell to the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga 84-36 in the championship game of the Hilton Concord Thanksgiving Classic, Saturday at McKeon Center.

Sophomore Adriane Ferguson earned all-tournament team honors. The Spokane, Wash. native averaged 14 points in the tournament's two games.

Ferguson scored a game-tying high 18 points in Friday's 70-58 win over host St. Mary's. Ferguson shot 7-of-13 from the field against the Gaels including 4-of-8 from 3-point territory. She also added eight rebounds.

Ferguson followed that performance with a team-high 10 points against UTC. Ferguson has scored in double figures in all three games she's played in this season.

The Cougars return home to face Portland State, Friday Dec. 3 at Friel Court. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.
