PULLMAN, Wash. - Four Washington State players scored in double figures and three recorded double-doubles as the Cougars captured an 82-57 win over P & P Lady Express in a women's basketball exhibition game Saturday night at Friel Court.

Candace Fields (16 points, 10 rebounds), Lindsey Egeland (12 points, 13 rebounds) and Bianca McCall (11 points, 12 rebounds) recorded double-doubles. Sarah Barrett added 13 points to complete the double-digit scoring quartet.

The Cougars never trailed in the game as Lady Express, a pro-am team based in Seattle, struggled from the outset missing 16 of its first 19 shots. In that stretch, WSU jumped out to a 14-7 advantage, which included six points from Fields and Barrett apiece.

Holding a 28-24 lead at the 3:57 mark of the first half, WSU closed the half with a 14-4 run to take a 42-28 lead into the locker room. In the first half the Cougars shot 15-of-36 (41.7 percent) from the floor including 6-of-12 from outside the arc.

Lady Express managed to cut its deficit to 44-34 in the first 2:22 of the second half but the Cougars put the game away with a 18-0 run over the next 5:38 to take a 62-34 lead with 12 minutes left. McCall accounted for nine points in that run.

The Cougars conclude their exhibition season at Friel Court against Denmark, Saturday, Nov. 16 at 2 p.m.
