"This is a great win," said Oregon State coach Judy Spoelstra. "It's hard to get the kids to focus and be ready for a game like this."

"We were flat in the second half," Washington State coach Jenny Przekwas. "The shots just were not falling for us."

Down 12-11 at the 13:25 mark of the first half, the Cougars scored five consecutive points to take a 16-12 advantage with 9:33 remaining. The Beavers answered with an 11-4 run to take a 23-20 lead at the 5:35 mark and stretched their advantage to 35-30 at the halftime break.
