PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State's Bianca McCall registered her third consecutive game scoring in double figures with 13 points in the Cougars' 83-47 loss to the USC Women of Troy, Thursday at Friel Court. McCall's total marked the senior's 11th game of the season and 32nd career game reaching double-digits in points. Sophomore Charmaine Jones also recorded her third consecutive game scoring in double figures with 10 points for WSU. USC's Ebony Hoffman posted a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds while Meghan Gnekow scored a game-high 15 points for the Women of Troy. The Cougars did enjoy a 5-2 lead in the early going and the game was tied at nine with 15:59 left in the first half. However, USC blitzed WSU with a 10-0 run to open an advantage it would not relinquish for the remainder of the game. The Women of Troy shot a blistering 17-of-32 (53.1 percent) from the field in the first half while WSU struggled, making only 5-of-22 attempts (22.7 percent) in the opening 20 minutes. WSU returns to action Saturday, Feb. 7 when it hosts UCLA for a 2 p.m. tip-off at Friel Court.
