PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State's Bianca McCall scored a team-high 17 points in the Cougars' 86-65 loss to No. 18 Arizona in Pacific-10 Conference women's basketball action, Thursday at Friel Court.

McCall's effort was her ninth double-digit performance of the season. It was also her highest point output since she poured in 18 points in the season-opening game versus Wyoming, Nov. 22. Charmaine Jones added a season-high 12 points to the Cougars' cause.

Dee-Dee Wheeler led a contingent of four Arizona players in double figures with 20 points. Aimee Grzyb (18 points), Shawntinice Polk (16 points) and Krista Warren (12 points) completed the quartet.

Polk, the Pac-10 leader in rebounding at 12.2 a game, was held to just six boards.

The Cougars, who were without the services of Candace Fields (left foot stress fracture) and Kim Dugan (left wrist injury), suited up nine players against the Wildcats.

The Wildcats went on a 14-0 run late in the first half, and held a 14-point lead at the break. Arizona connected on 20-of-32 shots in the second half, and led by as many as 30 points.
