Men's Golf Heads to California for Alister MacKenzie Invitational

What's Happening This Week: The Washington State men's golf team travels to Fairfax, Calif., to compete in the Alister MacKenzie Invitational at the par-71, 6,686-yard Meadow Club...the 54 hole, two-day tournament will begin Monday, with a 7:20 a.m. shotgun start...live scoring and complete results will be available at www.golfstat.com.

The Field: The field of 16 pairs Washington State with five Pacific-10 Conference rivals including Arizona State, California, Oregon, Oregon State (No. 25) and Washington...the remaining 10 teams include Cal Poly, Fresno State, Louisville, San Diego State, San Jose State, Santa Clara, St. Mary's, UC Davis, UC Irvine and San Francisco.

Traveling for the Cougars: Five Cougars will be traveling to Fairfax, Calif., Monday, to take a swing at victory...the Cougar squad includes senior Jordan Mason, sophomores Austin Hurt and Kevin Tucker, and freshmen Xavier Dailly and Nick Ellis.

Last Time Out: The Cougar men experienced wet and windy conditions their last time out at the Husky Invitational...the final round was cancelled and scores were taken from the first day of competition...the Cougar men shot a total score of 618 and were led by Hurt who fired a two-round total of 152...sophomore Nick Grigsby also fared well and shot a 155...teammate Dailly was not far behind as he finished with a total score of 156...Ellis ended the tournament shooting a 157 and Tucker scored a 162 to round out the Cougar contingent.
