Tournament Preview

TOURNAMENT HISTORY: This is the tournament's fourth occurrence in Pullman, but it is the first year that Itani Quality Homes has sponsored...Washington State won the tournament each of the first-two seasons...in 2009, Kevin Tucker tied for individual honors...in 2010, Trent Sanders and Nick Ellis placed fourth and fifth respectively...Cougar senior Hank Frame has placed in the top 25 in each of the tournament's three running seasons, tying for 17th with redshirt junior Kyle Hurt last season...the Cougars also set a school record for 54-holes in 2010 with an 827 (-37)...San Jose State captured the tournament team title last season.

THE COURSE: The7,308-yard Palouse Ridge Golf Club will play at par-72 both days...Monday, teams will play 36 holes with the first round beginning at 7:30 a.m...tournament concludes Tuesday with 18 holes beginning at 7:30 a.m.

THE FIELD: Joining host school Washington State in the 11-school tournament will be Arizona, Boise State, British Columbia, Cal State Fullerton, Gonzaga, Idaho, San Jose State, Sacramento State, Santa Clara, and Utah Valley.

REPRESENTING WASHINGTON STATE: Competing for the Cougar men will be sophomore Michael Anderson, freshman Ryan Books, junior Jarrett Foote, senior Hank Frame, junior Kent Hagen, redshirt junior Kyle Hurt, redshirt sophomore Sang Lee, redshirt sophomore Sam Mendez, junior Blake Snyder, freshman Bhurinat Sonpaiboon, and redshirt sophomore Alex Wagner.

CLEGG RETURNS: Washington State is led by Head Coach Garrett Clegg, who is in his second season as the lead mentor for the Cougars...a native of Bountiful, Utah, Clegg was an assistant coach at Washington for four seasons prior to his arrival at WSU.
