May 7, 2012
PULLMAN, Wash. - Kelly Campbell has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete in men's golf at Washington State, Cougar Head Coach Garrett Clegg announced, Monday. A native of Kent, Wash., Campbell attends Auburn Mountain View High School. A captain on this year's Lion squad, Campbell is a four-time state qualifier and a three-time South Puget Sound League scoring champion. "Kelly is a talented player and will come into our program ready to make a positive impact on our team his first day on campus," Clegg said. "He is an amazing ball striker and has played great in regional junior golf tournaments. I look forward to seeing Kelly in a Cougar uniform and having him help our program reach new heights." A four-time All-SPSL First Team honoree, Campbell was a medalist in the Pacific Northwest Juniors last season. His father, Doug, played on the PGA Tour.
