Cougar Men's Golf Heads to Pac-12 Championships

THE EVENT
The Washington State men's golf team will travel to Corvallis Ore., where it will compete in the Pac-12 Men's Golf Championships, April 27-29, at the Trysting Tree Golf Club.

THE COURSE
The Trysting Tree Golf club was recently rated by Golf Digest as the 9th best public course in the State of Oregon...the course will play at Par 72 and 7,030 yards for the tournament.

THE FIELD
The 12-team field will include teams from Arizona, Arizona State, California, UCLA, Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, USC, Stanford, Utah, Washington and Washington State.

THE SCHEDULE AND FORMAT (54 holes)
Thursday, April 26: Practice round

Friday, April 27: Two rounds (36 holes)...tee times will begin at 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. from the first and 10th holes.

Saturday, April 28: Third round (18 holes)...tee times will begin at 9:00 a.m. from the first and 10th holes.

Sunday, April 29: Final round (18 holes)...tee times will begin at 8:00 a.m. from the first and 10th holes.

Teams will play six student-athletes and count five scores per round.

REPRESENTING WASHINGTON STATE
Competing for the Cougars will be seniors Branden Dalton and Trent Sanders, junior Hank Frame, sophomores Jarrett Foote and Kent Hagen and freshman Michael Anderson.

LAST TIME OUT
The Washington State men's golf team finished fifth at the Hawkeye-Great River Entertainment Invitational in Iowa City, Iowa...at the Finkbine Golf Course the Cougars finished the three-round competition with a team score of 878 (+14)...this score was good enough to best six other teams, including a team from Michigan State, whose program is ranked 90th nationally...sophomore Kent Hagen recorded his second-straight tournament as the top-finisher for Washington State...Hagen finished tied for 11th carding a 216 (E).
