Men's Golf to Compete at Border Olympics

What's Happening This Week: The Washington State University men's golf team will travel to Laredo, Texas to compete in the 2010 Border Olympics...the two-day tournament will be held March 5-6 at the par-72, 7,125-yard Laredo Country Club.

The Field: The 16-team tournament field will include Air Force, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Lamar, New Mexico State, North Texas, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Rice, Texas State, UT Arlington, UTEP, UTSA, Washington State and host school Houston.

Traveling For The Cougars: The Cougar contingent will consist of seniors Austin Hurt, Nick Grigsby and Kevin Tucker, junior Nick Ellis and sophomore Trent Sanders.

Last Time Out: The Cougars are coming off a win at the WSU Snowman Getaway in Chandler Ariz...Sanders and Ellis led the team, both finishing in a tie for fourth at one-under-par 215...Sanders, the Scottsdale, Ariz., native, posted a career-best 66 (-6) during the final round...Tucker finished in 13th to earn his 22nd career top-25 finish.

Last Year At This Event: WSU finished in seventh place at the Border Olympics last season...Ellis was the highest-placing member of the Cougar squad, taking 13th with a three-round total of 222 (+6).
