THIS WEEK
The Washington State men's golf team will host the fourth annual Snowman Getaway in Goodyear, Ariz., following its seventh-place finish in Hawaii...the tournament will be held February 25-26 at the Palm Valley Golf Club.
THE COURSE
The Palm Valley Golf Club will play at par 72 and 7,015 yards for the Snowman Getaway...competing athletes will play three 18-hole rounds...first and second rounds will be played Monday, and the final 18 holes will be played Tuesday...both days of competition will start with an 8 a.m. Mountain/7 a.m. Pacific shotgun start.
THE FIELD
Joining host school No. 60 Washington State in the tournament will be, in order of national ranking: No. 26 Missouri, No. 97 Kansas State, No. 117 Minnesota, No. 123 UMKC, No. 132 St. Johns, No. 139 UNC Greensboro, No. 152 Gonzaga, No. 156 Air Force, No. 166 Missouri State, No. 186 Utah Valley, No. 207 Southern Illinois Edwardsville, No. 216 Seattle, and No. 226 Loyola (Md.). Arizona State and UCLA will have individuals competing in the tournament, but will not have team entries.
REPRESENTING WASHINGTON STATE
Representing the Cougar men in Arizona will be sophomore Michael Anderson, senior Hank Frame, redshirt sophomore Sang Lee, junior Blake Snyder, and redshirt sophomore Alex Wagner. In addition, freshman Ryan Books, junior Jarrett Foote, junior Kent Hagen, redshirt junior Kyle Hurt, and freshman Bhurinat Songpaiboon will be competing as individuals.
