Woods In The Hunt After The First Two Rounds Of The Wolf Pack Classic

RENO, Nev. - Senior Isaac Woods tied a career low by firing a 4-under, 68 in the second round and sits tied for sixth place after the first two rounds of the Ernest F. Lied Wolf Pack Classic at Wolf Run Golf Course, a par 72, 7,100 yard course Monday. The third and final round will start Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. with a shotgun start.

Woods started his day by shooting an even par 72 in the first round before he came back with the second lowest round of the tournament in the second. Woods shot a 140 (-4) for the day and is just one stroke out of the top five. Woods is looking for his second top 10 finish in his last three tournaments.

Senior Ryan Camp is tied for 25th after finishing the day at even par (144). Camp fired a 1-under 71 in the first round, and a 73 (+1) in the second.

The Cougars are currently tied for 11th place with Lamar by shooting a 582 (+6) in the first two rounds. The team improved on their 292 (+4) score in the first round by shooting a 2-over 290 in the second.

Redshirt freshman Jordan Madison shot an even par 72 in the second to end up tied for 59th at 5-over for the day. Madison is tied with freshman teammate Kevin Chen who shot a 72 (E) in the first round. Freshman Matt Fladwood rounded out the Cougar contingent by finishing tied for 91st.
