David Fern Finishes 23rd at Opus Northwest Husky Invitational

BREMERTON, Wash. - Redshirt-junior David Fern finished tied for 23rd place at the Opus Northwest Husky Invitational at Bremerton, Wash., Tuesday.

Fern went into the final round tied for 23rd, and remained there after shooting a 3-over 75. He shot 223 (+7) for the three-round tournament. This is Fern's first top-25 finish as a Cougar, and only his second tournament with the team.

Finishing two strokes behind Fern was freshman Jordan Mason. Mason finished tied for 28th place after firing a final round 69 (-3). Mason's final round score was the second lowest of the day.

The Cougars placed 9th as a team, shooting a three-round total of 1,144 (+64).

Rounding out the scoring for the Cougars were Chris Collins with a 232 (+16), Ryan Witz with a 236 (+20), Jordan Madison with a 237 (+21), and Ben Bryson with a 240 (+24).
