Sept. 8, 2002

MADISON, Wis. - Senior Dustin White shot a 4-under 68 in Sunday's final round of the Badger Invitational at University Ridge Golf Course, tying him for fourth place.

White came into this season only one career top 10 finish away from tying Jon Reehoorn's school record of 13. Using a bogey-free round, White finished only three strokes behind top finisher Brad Heaven (-8, 74-67-67) of Toledo and fired four birdies to secure a 13th career top 10 finish. White's placing also brings him within five of Reehoorn's school record 26 top 25 finishes.

Junior Ryan Camp, who fired a school record tying seven-under par 65 in the second round, finished in a tie for 38th place with a 3-over on the day, but moved up 32 spots from the opening round to Sunday. Newcomer Ryan Ressa (-1, 70-73-72) continued his consistent play by carding an even par final round, and finished tied for 14th for his first top 25 finish at WSU.

Isaac Woods shot 8-over for the day, finishing in 59th place, but used another birdie on the par-3 fifth to bring his par 3 average to even for the tournament. Ben Bryson shot 9-over in the final round, finishing the back nine at only 1-over, and completing play for the Cougars at University Ridge Golf Course.

As a team, the Cougars finished in eighth place, just two strokes behind seventh place Indiana, and three strokes ahead of ninth Place finisher Coastal Carolina.
