Cougar Men's Golf Completes Day Two at Bandon Dunes
March 9, 2013
BANDON, Ore. - The Washington State men's golf team improved its score compared to day one, but fell in the standings during round two of the Bandon Dunes Championship, Saturday. Hank Frame (-1, 71), Blake Snyder (Even, 72) and Michael Anderson (+1, 73) all performed well, but the Cougars were forced to count an 8-over 80, carded by both Sang Lee and Kyle Hurt. "We are three good scores and two bad scores which equals a bad day," a disappointed Cougar Head Coach Garrett Clegg said. "The golf course was much easier today than yesterday and we didn't take advantage of it. We definitely have our backs to the wall." Washington State (+21) entered the day tied for ninth, but fell into a tie for 11th despite a five-shot improvement over round one in the team score. The Cougars are within eight strokes of the top five and within three teams ranked in the top 14 nationally. The final round begins at 9 a.m., Sunday.
