PULLMAN, Wash. - Quarterback Connor Halliday has been named the Bank of the West Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Halliday, a redshirt freshman from Spokane, Wash., came off the bench to throw for 494 yards and four touchdowns in the Cougars' 37-27 win over Arizona State Saturday night. Halliday entered the game on WSU's third possession and finished the night 27-of-36 with no interceptions.

His passing total was the second-highest in school history and shattered the previous freshman mark of 385 yards, held by Drew Bledsoe. Halliday's 494 yards also marked the highest total by a Pac-12 quarterback this season, the 10th-best passing total in conference history and the most yards ever thrown by a freshman in the conference.

In addition to the conference honor, Halliday was also recognized as a College Sports Performance Awards Performer of the Week and one of eight quarterbacks nominated for the Manning Award Star of the Week.

Halliday is the second Cougar to earn conference player of the week honors this season as senior linebacker Alex Hoffman-Ellis was named the defensive player of the week following WSU's victory at Colorado.
