Fall Camp Schedule | Gameday Central | The Cougar Football Project | Buy Tickets

The Cougar running back position returns some familiar faces but also welcomes in a pair of newcomers who will be adjusting to the new-look pass-first offense of head coach Mike Leach. Senior Carl Winston and redshirt sophomore Rickey Galvin headline the returners as both shared a bulk of the playing time last season with Galvin leading the way with 602 yards and five touchdowns to go along with his 28 catches. Winston, who appeared in all 12 games, rushed for over 400 yards and four touchdowns in 2011. Galvin, also appeared in all 12 games, could also see time at inside receiver. Redshirt junior Leon Brooks and Marcus Mason both impressed the new coaching staff during the spring and could contribute either running the ball, receiving and in the return game.

A couple newcomers who will have opportunities to contribute will be freshman Teondray Caldwell who joined WSU in the spring and junior college transfer Theron West who put up a big numbers at LA Harbor College both as a running back and in the return game.
