►Are you excited to play in the new Martin Stadium?
Having the opportunity to play for the Cougs the past two years in Martin Stadium, the fans and stadium really didn't get more amazing. I have also had to chance to play in a lot of other opponents' stadiums and seen how they look. With the new press box, I can personally say that we will have one of the top stadiums to play in. A combination of our fans and first-class stadium will be surreal. I am very excited.
►Why come to WSU?
WSU was one of the only schools willing to give me an opportunity to show what I can do at a division 1 level. Now I can't imagine being anything else but a COUG. When I first came to school I quickly realized how much different the culture is here and how lucky I am to be a part of it.
►Tell us about Coach Leach and his staff.
Coach Mike Leach and the whole coaching staff are much respected coaches. They have all won championships and have won consistently. The coaches' dedication to the team and winning is what I love most. Coach Leach is very intelligent and knows how to motivate you each day differently. He gives you multiple tips about every aspect of the game and how to pursue greatness on and off the field. Coach Eric Morris is my position coach and the best thing about him is how he always keeps it "real" with you. He tells you what he expects from everyone and is not afraid to let you know when you have or have not done so. I can also say that I have never been in this good of shape coming into fall camp and Coach Jason Loscalzo is who to thank.
►What are the guys saying about this season?
The attitude all of spring and summer for the team and has been all about winning and reaching one goal, a championship. Never has it changed but has only grew stronger throughout workouts and busting our butts day in and day out. We have a lot of confidence and look forward to playing BYU for our season opener.
►What's something WSU fans don't know about you?
What Cougar fans may not know about me is that I am a big time family guy. I feel very blessed to have my parents and siblings.
►What's your favorite place to eat in Pullman?
My favorite place to eat in Pullman is tough because there are a lot of great restaurants. If you want the best burger you go to Cougar Country of course but my all around favorite and most bang for your buck, would have to be Loco Grinz Hawaiian BBQ. Everything there, whether it's the meat, macaroni, or the noodles is amazing.
►What's your routine to get pumped up for a game?
One routine of mine before a game is right when we run out of the tunnel and on to the field; I go to the end zone and say a prayer with my boy Taylor Meighen. We did all last year and it is my favorite of all my routines.
►Who's your favorite football player/athlete/idol/role model?
Growing up, my all-time favorite athlete and role model would have to be Travis Pastrana. He was my favorite because he always did what he wanted at all costs and accomplished every goal he set for himself with no hesitation.
►What would you be doing if you weren't playing football?
I have been playing football for 15 years and I can't imagine at this time not playing football. It is something I've always wanted. The game has given me direction, motivation and determination to push myself in all aspects of my life. One thing is for sure, if I wasn't playing football right now I wouldn't be very happy.
►What was/is your favorite uniform combination?
Shoot my favorite uniform combo is a tough one. I love the Crimson and the Gray too much to choose a good combination. But if I must choose, our all grays are pretty sweet!
