►Are you excited to play in the new Martin Stadium?
I am very excited and humbled to play in the new Martin Stadium. The landscape is totally different than a couple of months ago. From a player standpoint, seeing that press box going up is a symbol that we mean business! I can't wait to see it filled and see that place LOUD!
►Why come to WSU?
Washington State was just a great opportunity for me to get off the island and experience new things in life. The things that sold me were the pride everyone has for Cougar Athletics, the family atmosphere and the coaching staff that was bought in by Bill Moos. Playing in the Pac-12 was also a huge dream for me.
►Tell us about Coach Leach and his staff.
Coach Leach and all the coaches really mean business. My position coach, coach Mike Breske, is a really great guy. I haven't really talked with him much since I got to Pullman, but he definitely has a good sense of the game from a defensive point of view. My main recruiter, Joe Salave'a, is one of the best coaches I could have asked for. Ever since I met him you can just tell he has a fire to win ball games.
►What are the guys saying about this season?
All the guys so far have been really excited about getting this season rolling. Especially for the freshmen. We want to start the new era of Cougar football at the top. Overall, everyone is just focused on competing and winning games.
►What's something WSU fans don't know about you?
I'm into making beats in my free time. Getting on the computer and just producing music is something I fell in love with and have been doing for a long time.
►What's your favorite place to eat in Pullman?
My favorite place to eat in Pullman so far is Cougar Country. They got the best bacon burger I have ever tasted! I also like Loco Grinz because it is Hawaiian BBQ and it reminds me of home.
►What's your routine to get pumped up for a game?
I usually just sit at my locker and visualize the game while listening to my iPod. Occassionally I'll dance a little bit, just to get relaxed and to enjoy the moment.
►Who's your favorite football player/athlete/idol/role model?
My favorite football player has to be Troy Polamalu because he plays with a great passion for the game. He also is a quiet and humble guy which is something I like because he lets his game speak through his play.
►What would you be doing if you weren't playing football?
I would definitely be sleeping in more if not for football and I would probably be back home in the islands with my family.
►How have your first couple of weeks gone?
My time here so far has been awesome! Getting acclimated to college has been smoother than I thought it was going to be. All the freshmen on the team got really close faster than I expected. We do a lot of stuff together and try to keep a family atmosphere. The coolest place I've been so far has to be the Dunes.
