THOMPSON'S WSU CAREER
RS-SENIOR (2009):
Earned a varsity letter after appearing in eight of WSU's games...caught a career-high nine passes for 80 yards, averaging 8.9 yards per catch on the season...averaged 10 receiving yards per game...longest pass caught was for 21 yards against Stanford...had 36 receiving yards against Stanford, 27 against Notre Dame, and 15 against SMU...had season-high three receptions against Notre Dame.
RS-JUNIOR (2008): Earned a varsity letter after appearing in 10 games...missed games against Oregon, Arizona State and Hawaii due to injuries...made his first career start against USC...caught his first career pass against Portland State (seven yards)...hauled in four passes on the season for 30 yards...received WSU Special Teams Player of the Week award following Oklahoma State game.
RS-SOPHOMORE (2007): Appeared in six of WSU's 12 games...missed the Oregon, UCLA, California and Stanford games with a right hamstring sprain and a right knee sprain.
RS-FRESHMAN (2006): Earned a varsity letter after appearing in each of WSU's 12 games...handled deep snap duties for WSU's punt special teams unit.
FRESHMAN (2005): Enrolled in the fall of 2005...walked on and was a member of the scout team.

PERSONAL
Anthony (Tony) Thompson...parents Jack and Molly Thompson...father is record-setting WSU quarterback (1975-78) who played in the NFL for six years with Cincinnati and Tampa Bay...in a tribute to Jack, Tony is wearing his father's No. 14 jersey, one of only two retired football jerseys at WSU (Mel Hein, No. 7, is the other)...jersey will return to retirement following the season...social sciences major.
