O'CONNOR'S HIGH SCHOOL CAREER Coached by Rik Haines...earned three varsity letters in football and basketball...coached for two seasons by John Yarno, brother of Cougar offensive line coach George Yarno...as a SOPHOMORE started at left tackle for KingCo Championship team that went undefeated in league play...as a JUNIOR was a two-way starter at right tackle and defensive end...SENIOR (2001-02) year was a two-way starter and also started at center on basketball team that reached State tournament.

FRESHMAN (2002-03): Redshirt season after enrolling in the spring of 2002.

RS-FRESHMAN (2003-04): V-letter...Games - 9...Starts - 0...saw playing time in nine games, including three of the first six games and the last four contests, including the Holiday Bowl...primarily used as a blocking tight end, often in short yardage situation. Special Teams. PAT/FG, KO returns.

RS-SOPHOMORE (2004-05): V-letter...Games - 11...Starts - 0...Special Teams: KO Returns, FG/PAT Kicks...saw most action in a two-tight end short yardage situations.

RS-JUNIOR (2005-06): V-Letter...Games - 11...Starts - 11. Special Teams: PAT/FG...a starter all season at left guard for one of WSU's best offenses in school history...team average of 489.3 ypg ranked third best ever at WSU and the 5,382 total offense yards ranked fourth.

PERSONAL: Sean O'Connor...born May 15, 1983...parents Mike and Tam O'Connor...has one younger sister, Katy...first entered WSU as a walk-on in January, 2002, then earned a scholarship for the 2003 season...father, Mike, played basketball at Western Oregon and grandfather, Jack O'Connor, was a quarterback at Oregon...humanities major at WSU.
