HUTSONA'S HIGH SCHOOL CAREER: Rushed for 2,052 yards on 154 carries, a 13.3-yard average that remains as the San Diego Section career record...earned first-team running back for Grossmont South League...Helix advanced to the CIF San Diego Section Division II finals...won the '03 California High School state title with a 24-5.75 leap in the long jump....finished fifth in the 100 meters at the same meet, posting a time of 10.75 seconds...captured gold in the 4x100 relay team in the '01 California state championship.

FRESHMAN (2003-04): Redshirted.

RS FRESHMAN (2004-05): Had just one carry for two yards.

HUTSONA'S GROSSMONT COLLEGE CAREER

SOPHOMORE (2005-06): Named national co-player of the year on offense as named by the JC Athletic Bureau and the CCCFCA...helped Grossmont to 13-1 record and California state title...rushed for 1,291 yards on 177 carries (7.3 avg.)...Foothill Conference offensive player of the year...MVP of state title game where Grossmont defeated City College of San Francisco, 41-83...had 2,534 all-purpose yards, with almost 1,000 coming in four playoff games...all-California offensive player of the year.

PERSONAL: Darrell Hutsona...Born June 1, 1985...parents Rodney and Shenna Hutsona...high school teammate of Reggie Bush and Alex Smith, who was drafted No. 1 by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2005 NFL Draft.
