Graduated from Seaquam High 2002...competed in football and basketball...football coach Chris Pechet...SENIOR year rated by PacWest Recruiting as the #5 defensive end in the west...named to the conference and provincial all-star team...earned provincial defensive most valuable player honors at defensive end.

BRAIDWOOD'S WSU CAREER

FRESHMAN (2002-03): V-letter...Games - 13...Starts - 0...All-Pac-10 Freshman team selection by The Sporting News...earned a backup role in fall camp as a true freshman, with much of his action coming on special teams...had two tackles in the opener against Nevada...season-high three tackles against ASU and two against both Oregon and UCLA...against UCLA in the final regular season game had two tackles, a blocked punt and a pass deflection...earned the following weekly team awards: Specialist of the Week - Arizona; Special Teams Big Play - Arizona; Assassin - Arizona; Gamebreaker - Arizona; Ironman - Washington.

SOPHOMORE (2003-04): V-letter...Games - 13...Starts - 1...one tackle in each of the first three games and against Oregon, Stanford and UCLA...started against Arizona...earned the following weekly team awards: Assassin - Idaho; Defensive Pursuit - Colorado. Special Teams: Punts, punt returns, kickoffs, kickoff returns, KO/FG.

JUNIOR (2004-05): V-letter...Games - 11...Starts - 11...earned the following weekly team awards: Pac-10 Defense - Oregon State...received the Tim Petek Strongest Man award and shared the Leon Bender Defensive Lineman-of-the-Year award with Steve Cook...took over as a starter in spring drills...had four tackles against both New Mexico and Colorado...also made one sack and caused a fumble against the Buffs...credited with a career-high eight tackles against Stanford...had six stops at Oregon State, including three sacks and four TFLs...two of his three stops at UCLA were for losses.
