Cougar Basketball to Hold Crimson and Gray Scrimmage

PULLMAN, Wash. - The Washington State University men's basketball team will give its fans another preview of the 2010-11 squad at its Crimson and Gray Scrimmage, Friday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. at Bohler Gym. Admission is free of charge and doors open at 6 p.m. The 16 members of the team will spilt into two teams and face-off against each other in three 10-minute scrimmages. The teams will be changed after each 10-minute scrimmage. Officials will be on hand to ref the games. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Cougars, while catching a glimpse of what's to come this season. This year's team returns all five starters from last year's 16-15 squad, including 2010-11 Wooden Award preseason candidate, Klay Thompson. Adding to the nine returning letterwinners from last year are seven newcomers. The team has been hard at work all fall and kicked off the season with its first official practice of the season Oct. 15, which also included `Midnight Mayhem.' The Cougars are just over two weeks away from their exhibition game which pits them against Lewis-Clark State, Friday, Nov. 5 at 6 p.m. at Beasley Coliseum's Friel Court. WSU officially opens its competitive season Saturday, Nov. 13 as it hosts Southern (La.) at 5 p.m. at Friel Court.
