Johnson Ruled Partial Qualifier by NCAA

Aug. 27, 2012

PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State University men's basketball student-athlete, Que Johnson, has been ruled a partial qualifier by the NCAA, head coach Ken Bone announced Monday. Johnson will receive athletics aid during the 2012-13 school year, but is ineligible for competition during the upcoming basketball season.

"Our compliance staff has worked diligently with the NCAA on this matter and we feel it's a fair result," Bone said. "We look forward to Que's development, both on and off the court, here at Washington State and seeing him in a Cougar uniform next season."

A 6-foot-5 guard from Pontiac, Mich., Johnson attended Westwind Prep in Phoenix, Ariz. He signed his National Letter of Intent with Washington State in November 2011.
