PULLMAN, Wash. - Over 85 boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 14 are currently on the Washington State University campus for Cougar Basketball Day Camp which began Tuesday, June 21 and will wrap up Friday, June 24.

"Each summer I enjoy holding camps here on campus," WSU Head Coach Ken Bone said. "Day Camp is especially fun as it gives our staff and players the opportunity to interact with boys and girls of younger ages as they continue to develop their basketball skills. I'm proud of the work and dedication that go into camp each summer and very excited by the support of the WSU community, not just in Pullman, but throughout the Northwest. This year it's especially great seeing so many kids from the Palouse area here participating in camp."

The camp, which is held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily consists of daily instruction by WSU Basketball staff and student-athletes, group competitions and games. This year's 85-plus campers surpasses the camp number from last season.

"It's been great the past five years seeing kids from all over the state and area come to Pullman and grow on and off the court," WSU rising-senior Abe Lodwick said.

The Cougars' Day Camp is the second of three summer camps held by men's basketball. The program's Elite Camp took place June 18-19. The Team Camp, which will include teams from throughout the country, will take place next week, June 28 through July 1.
