Cougars to Face Huskies in First Round of Pac-12 Tournament Wednesday

2013 Pac-12 Tournament Bracket PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State University men's basketball (13-18, 4-14) will be the No. 11 seed in the 2013 Pac-12 Men's Basketball Tournament and will take on No. 6 Washington (17-14, 9-9), Wednesday, March 13 at 8:30 p.m. at the MGM Garden Arena at Las Vegas, Nev. Washington swept the season series with a 68-63 victory at Pullman, Jan. 5 and a 72-68 win at Seattle, March 3. The two teams last met in the conference tournament, March 10, 2011 in the first round of the Pac-10 Tournament. Klay Thompson put up 43 points, but the Cougars fell to the Huskies, 89-87. The Cougars are 1-1 against the Huskies all-time in the conference tournament. WSU is looking for its first conference tournament win since the 2009 Pac-10 Tournament. The winner of the game between WSU and UW will face No. 3 Oregon, Thursday, March 14 at 8:30 p.m. UCLA earned the No. 1 seed, California the No. 2 seed and Arizona the No. 4 seed.
