PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - Thomas Kelati scored 18 points to lead Washington State past IPFW 66-46 Monday night.

All of Kelati's points came on a career-high six 3-pointers in the first half. Marcus Moore added 12 points for the Cougars (3-2).

Ric Wyand scored 15 points, all in the first half, to lead the Mastodons (0-4). Wyand scored his team's first 12 points and 15 of the first 17.

Washington State trailed 14-11 after eight minutes, then outscored the Mastodons 33-11 until IPFW scored its second basket of the second half at 11:20.

Lacking size, the Mastodons scored all but one of their seven first-half field goals from 3-point range. The bigger Cougars outrebounded the Mastodons 34-24 and outscored them 28-8 in the paint, including 15-2 on second-chance points.

Wyand came into the game averaging 5.7 points, and he was 3-for-16 on 3-pointers.
