Moore Records Double-Double In Win Over Arkansas-Pine Bluff
Dec. 1, 2001 PULLMAN, Wash. -- Sophomore Marcus Moore established career highs with 26 points and 10 assists to lead Washington State to a 91-75 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Friel Court Saturday. The double-double was the second of Moore's career and helped even the Cougars record to 2-2 this season. The Golden Lions fell to 0-6. Senior J Locklier added 19 points to tie his career high and pulled down a season and game-high nine rebounds. Also in double figure scoring for the Cougars were juniors Justin Lyman (14 points), Jerry McNair (11 points) and Milton Riley (season-high 11 points). Washington State struggled for much of the first half and led 48-38 at the break. However, a 62 percent shooting effort in the second half enabled the Cougars to pull away for the 16-point win. Kory McKee led Arkansas-Pine Bluff with 23 points.
The Cougars will host Idaho, Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m.
