SPOKANE, Wash. -- Miles Simon made a school record 17 of 18 free throws as No. 5 Arizona won its 25th straight game over Washington State 94-81 in front of 5,339 at the Spokane Arena Jan. 8.

The Wildcats (12-3 overall, 3-0 Pacific-10) scored their final 10 points at the free throw line as Simon made eight foul shots in the final 2:32. Simon, who finished with a team-high 21 point, made all 14 of his free throw attempts in the second half. Michael Dickerson and A.J. Bramlett each had 17 for Arizona.

Carlos Daniel led five Cougars in double-digits with a career-best 28 points. He also grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.

WSU trailed 66-61 with 8:30 left when Daniel was called for a intentional foul while trying to stop a layin by Simon. The Wildcat guard, last year's Final Four MVP, sank both free throws. The next trip down the floor, Daniel was whistled for a technical foul. Simon again hit the two foul shots. Arizona retained possession of the ball.

Bramlett dominated inside during the next four minutes as he scored scored nine points to keep Arizona's cushion at 11 points, 84-73, with 3:25 left.

The Cougars trailed only 47-42 at the half as both teams shot well from the field, Arizona at 58.1 percent and WSU at 55.2 percent. WSU also outrebounded Arizona for the game 35-33. Starting guard Kab Kazadi and reserve forward Kojo Mensah-Bonsu each fouled out for WSU, as three other Cougars finished with four fouls.
