Stanford and Cal both came in here as first place and really proud of the guys coming in and competing hard leaving it on the floor and making good decisions down the stretch, all-in-all just battling and being warriors."

On Faisal Aden's play ... "He had a great weekend; most coaches would start him .... (laughs)"
On getting the win ... I thought during the course of the week leading up to the two games we really came together as a group and we aren't throwing in the towel we're one and four, but here is our chance we are playing at home. It had been awhile, 30 some days, the guys were excited to play in front of family, friends and students.
WSU Freshman DaVonté Lacy On his game-winning 3-pointer ... "Reggie came off a pick and roll and made a play and being the great point guard he is, he found me and God willing it went in."
WSU Junior Brock Motum On the win ... "Like I said last game against Stanford, we've gotten better each game, tonight is a step forward and Cal is a really good team and put up a good fight the whole night they're first in the Pac-12 and it was just a real good confidence booster."
On playing at home ... "It's always great to play in front of the home crowd especially when the student section turns out in numbers."
WSU Redshirt Senior Abe Lodwick On playing at home ... "It's great to experience success; playing at home gives you that extra something you need especially with a losing streak so it was really good to come home."
California Head Coach Mike Montgomery On Abe Lodwick ... "Abe hurt us."
On the game ... "We got a little stagnant on offense, we had our chances, we have nobody to blame but ourselves, we didn't defend well." "It was a great win on Thursday at Washington and this was a real chance to separate ourselves from the rest of the league and didn't take advantage of it."
