HIGH SCHOOL
Attended two different high schools...started at O'Dea High School where he played varsity basketball for head coach Phil Lumpkin...as a freshman, won the 3A State Championship...as a sophomore, was named team captain...as a junior, was named team captain, named to the second team all-conference for the Metro Division, and led the Fighting Irish to a fifth-place-finish at State...transferred to Bothell High School for senior year where he played for coach Ron Ballinger...served as team captain and was the league's second-leading scorer with 21.6 points, 7.1 assists and 10.5 rebounds per game...earned first team all-KingCo Conference honors and was named the Cougars' MVP.

Born Dominic Christopher Ballard, September of 1991 in Seattle, Wash...father David played basketball at Grambling before becoming a real estate broker...mother Trina works as a product manager...godfather Eric Metcalf played football at the University of Texas and later played in the NFL... undecided on area of study at Washington State.
