All 11 players that were suited up saw action, including three walk-ons, three freshmen and six newcomers.
Freshman DaVonté Lacy led the Cougars in his WSU debut with 21 points...he was 7-for-11 from the field and 3-for-6 from beyond the 3-point arc...he scored 15 of his 21 points in the second half.
Junior Mike Ladd, also making his debut after sitting out last season as a redshirt after transferring from Fresno State, added 14 points and three assists...he was 4-for-6 from beyond the 3-point arc.
Seniors Abe Lodwick (foot) and Faisal Aden (concussion) and junior Reggie Moore (groin) didn't play due to injuries...the trio accounted for 70 starts last season.
Walk-on freshmen Chuks Iroegbu and Dominic Ballard both scored...Iroegbu with four points and Ballard with two, both were perfect from the field.
Redshirt freshman Dexter Kernich-Drew scored eight points and grabbed five points in his debut...he scored six of his points in the first half...he had a team-high five assists.
