Yale Rosen Among Top Prospects in Collegiate Summer Leagues

PULLMAN, Wash. - Yale Rosen of the Washington State baseball team was named a top prospect for the 2012 summer collegiate leagues by Baseball America, earlier this week. Rosen, an outfielder for the Cougars, garnered the No. 3 spot out of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL). In addition, Perfect Game labeled Rosen the No. 2 prospect in the league. The sophomore from Oak Harbor, Wash., appeared in 30 games for the Newport (R.I.) Gulls, batting .339 with 36 RBI. Rosen homered on 12 occasions, including twice against the Laconia (N.H.) Muskrats, June 26. Rosen's 12 homers rank second in the league in regular-season play. Rosen also doubled 10 times throughout the regular season, ranking 16th in the league.
