Mark Hendrickson Recalled by Baltimore Orioles

July 18, 2011

PULLMAN, Wash. - With left-handed pitcher Mark Hendrickson's relief appearance for the Baltimore Orioles, July 9, a former Washington State University Cougar has played in a MLB game for 64-straight seasons.

Only USC and Oklahoma have active streaks longer than Washington State's. The Cougars are tied for third all-time with Fordham (1889-1952) and Seton Hall (1946-2009).

After opening the year in AAA Norfolk (Va.), Hendrickson has pitched in relief three times for the Orioles and picked up a victory, July 17 with a three-shutout innings in Baltimore's 8-3 win over the Cleveland Indians.

Hendrickson is one of 17 former Cougars currently on a professional roster. The others are listed below.
