Yale Rosen Named Player of the Week in Summer League

Cougar receives honor in New England.

DANBURY, Conn. - Washington State outfielder Yale Rosen was named to the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) Player of the Week for July 1-7.

A rising-sophomore, Rosen batted .500 (10-for-20) with two doubles, three home runs, 11 RBI and eight runs. He posted a slugging percentage of 1.020 and an on-base percentage of .583 in five victories by the Newport (R.I.) Gulls.

Rosen is batting .358 for the first place Gulls with nine home runs, nine home runs and 28 RBI. His home run and RBI totals are second in the league and his doubles are tied for second.
