COUGARS AND HUSKIES ON THE DIAMOND
Washington State (27-26, 11-16 Pac-12) concludes its regular season at arch-rival Washington (28-24, 11-16 Pac-12)...three-games series will take place, Friday-Sunday, May 25-27 (5 p.m., 2 p.m., 1 p.m.)...Cougars are 237-213 under Donnie Marbut, who is in his eighth season as the head coach of the WSU program and ninth overall in Pullman.

AT STAKE
The winner of the series between Washington and Washington State clinches at least a share of seventh place in the Pac-12...both teams lead California by one game...Golden Bears play three games against Stanford...Huskies need two wins and Cougars need three for a 30-win season...Washington State needs two wins to secure a winning season...both teams are still in the NCAA postseason discussion, but likely need a sweep to stay alive.

LEADERS OF THE PAC
The Cougars lead the Pac-12 with 72 stolen bases and 63 double plays turned defensively.

SOLID DEFENSE
Washington State is in position to set school records for best fielding percentage and fewest errors committed in a single season...Cougars' current fielding percentage is .978...school record is .972 set in 2008...Washington State has 46 miscure this season...record in the aluminum bat era (1974-present) is 60, set in 2004.

FRESHMEN IMPACT
Scott Simon set the school record for appearances by a freshman with 26...Joe Pistorese's 2.55 ERA is third on the list behind Guy Normand (2.11/1983) and Mike Kinnunen (2.33/1977).
