Cougars Travel to Eugene

PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State (18-15, 5-6 Pac-12) travels to Eugene, Ore., for a three-game Pac-12 series with nationally-ranked Oregon (26-10, 10-5 Pac-12), Friday-Sunday, April 20-22.
The Cougars are in sixth place in the conference standings, but trail leaders Arizona, UCLA and Oregon by one game in the loss column.
Oregon is ranked in all-four polls. The Ducks high-water mark is sixth by Collegiate Baseball. They are No. 8 according to Baseball America, No. 11 in the USA Today/ESPN poll and are No. 14 in NCBWA rankings.
It will be the third time in three conference series on the road this season that Washington State faces a top 10 team. The Cougars won the opener at Arizona and captured the final game at UCLA in their two-previous Pac-12 series on the road.
Right-hander J.D. Leckenby will take the mound for Washington State, Friday in a 6 p.m. game. Right-hander Alex Keudell, the two-time reigning Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week will oppose him.
Saturday in a 2 p.m. contest, Cougar southpaw Joe Pistorese will be opposed by righty Jake Reed. Right-hander Tanner Chleborad goes to the hill in Sunday's noon game while Oregon has yet to announce astarter. Comcast Sports Net Northwest will televise the first and third games of the series.
