COUGARS OPEN ROAD TRIP IN LAS VEGAS
Fresh off a seven-game homestand, the Washington State (7-3) baseball team begins a road trip in Las Vegas...Cougars will play eight games in four cities over an 11-day span...trip opens with a three-game series at UNLV (7-6), March 9-11...game times are 6:05 p.m. (Friday), 2:05 p.m. (Saturday) and 1:05 p.m. (Sunday).

COUGARS AT A GLANCE
Washington State is 7-3 after a 6-1 homestand...Cougars are 217-190 under Donnie Marbut, who is in his eighth season as the head coach of the Washington State program and ninth overall in Pullman.

Washington State leads the Pac-12 with a .988 fielding mark and has committed five errors, fewest in the conference...fielding percentage ranks third nationally...five errors through 10 games in a season is the lowest total since Washington State began tracking game-by-game fielding records in 1970...Cougars have turned 13 double plays, tied for 12th in the NCAA.

SPEED ON THE BASES
Washington State has 22 stolen bases this season, second in the Pac-12 behind Arizona's 31...total is tied for 18th nationally and 2.20 swipes per game rank 16th in the country... six-different Cougars have multiple thefts led by sophomore Nate Blackham with four...seniors Kyle Johnson and Tommy Richards and sophomore Jason Monda each have recorded three stolen bases.

OUCH!
Washington State has been hit by a pitch 18 times this season...number is tied for 29th nationally...sophomore Jason Monda leads the team with six, and is tied for ninth in the NCAA rankings.

DON'T STOP AT TWO
Washington State has collected seven triples this season (0.70 per game)...both total and per game marks are tied for fifth in the country...seniors Derek Jones and Kyle Johnson are tied for 16th nationally with two each.
