COUGARS BEGIN SEVEN-GAME ROAD TRIP
After a 7-1 homestand, the Washington State baseball embarks on a seven-game road trip...Cougars will play a four-game series at UTSA (March 8-10) before opening Pac-12 play at Arizona State (March 15-17)...games against the Roadrunners are scheduled for 4 p.m., Friday, noon (DH), Saturday and 11 a.m., Sunday (all times Pacific)...Cougars are 8-3 this season and 246-218 under Donnie Marbut, who is in his ninth season as the head coach of the WSU program and 10th overall in Pullman...Marbut is assisted by Gregg Swenson, Pat Waer, Michael Naughton and Scott Parrish.

COUGARS AGAINST THE WESTERN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
Washington State is 6-8 (0-4 vs. Fresno State, 2-2 vs. Hawaii and 4-2 vs. San Jose State) against the Western Athletic Conference under Donnie Marbut...only San Jose State is still a member of the WAC...Cougars are 15-9 against other current members of the WAC (4-3 vs. CSU Bakersfield, 2-2 vs. Dallas Baptist, 3-3 vs. Sacramento State and 6-1 vs. Seattle)...all of those meetings took place when the opponents were independent.
