Cougar Baseball Hosts Gonzaga in Bailey-Brayton Opener

PULLMAN, Wash. - The Washington State baseball team will host Gonzaga in its home opener, Tuesday, Feb. 24 with first pitch scheduled for 5:30 p.m. The game begins a six-game homestand for the Cougars (0-3) who have nationally-ranked Oklahoma coming to town over the weekend for a four-game series before the Bulldogs (3-1) return, Tuesday, March 1. Freshman left-hander Spencer Jackson, a native of Aurora, Colo., will make his collegiate debut for the Cougars. Right-hander Jeremy Stumetz will make his first start of the season for the Bulldogs. Steve Grubbs will provide the play-by-play call on KHTR 104.3 FM.
