Cougar Baseball Opens Practice

PULLMAN, Wash. - With three weeks left until first pitch of the 2012 college baseball season, Washington State opened its spring practice at Bailey-Brayton Field, Friday. The Cougars return 19 letterwinners from last season, including sophomore pitchers Tanner Chleborad and Joe Pistorese. The duo combined for 29 appearances, including 25 starts in 2012. As a staff, the Cougars return every arm that made a start on the mound last season. Washington State travels to Western Carolina, Feb. 15-17 for a three-game, season-opening series. The Cougars begin the home portion of their schedule with a four-game series against Eastern Michigan, Feb. 22-24.
