COUGARS CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS RACING IN LEWISTON
The Washington State men's and women's cross country teams travel just 32 miles south of campus to race at the Inland Empire Classic meet Saturday, Oct. 13, in Lewiston, Idaho...hosted by Lewis-Clark State College in the Orchards area of town, the women's 5,000m race begins at 10:30 a.m. and the men's 8,000m race is set for 11:15 a.m...hear Coach Riley's take on the races at wsucougars.com Video...results will be available on the official WSU Athletic website, wsucougars.com, when available after the race.

WSU MEN FALL OUT OF RANKINGS
The WSU's men's team fell out of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Week 4 national poll despite finishing ahead of two higher-ranked teams at Notre Dame...WSU started the season ranked 26th in the preseason poll and stayed at No. 26 for the first week...the week 2 poll found the Cougars at No. 28 and week 3 the WSU men's team dropped to 29th - mainly due to lack of competing...at Notre Dame, WSU finished ahead of No. 11 North Carolina State (10th) and No. 26 Michigan (19th) but were dropped from the week 4 poll... WSU men are seventh in the week 4 regional poll, two places ahead of the previous polling position...WSU men finished 21st at the 2011 NCAA Championships and fourth at NCAA West Regional...USTFCCCA releases rankings through the season based on predicted finish at the NCAAs.
