XC Freshmen Gain Valuable Experience at Anderson Invite

Cougars preparing for prestigious Notre Dame Invite next Friday.

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned eight varsity letters at Shorewood High...four letters for cross country coach Miles Mason...four letters in track...senior year cross country and track captain...state cross country championships meet competitor three years...sophomore year 37th at Nike-Pre National Meet...junior year cross country MVP...placed 21st at Washington state 3A championships and led T-Wolves to 10th place finish...first team All-Western Conference...honorable mention all-state...did not compete in cross country as senior due to injury...on the track, 14th place in 3200m at state 3A championship as a junior...honorable mention for All-WesCo...recovered from injury to compete senior year in track...fourth place at district meet in 1600m and 3200m...received Cliff Gillies and Student-Athlete awards.

PERSONAL. Born in March 1994 in Seattle, Wash...father Todd is an engineering technician...mother Cathy is a patient access specialist in radiology...older brother R.J...Leadership member in high school...sophomore and junior senator...senior year ASB president...Community Service Club member...played soccer for 12 years...undecided on academic area of study.
