SOPHOMORE (2011-12): Cross Country - Finished with places of third, 34th, and fourth at Inland NW Clash, Notre Dame Invitational, and Inland Northwest Classic, respectively...placed 68th overall, seventh on team at Pac-12 Championships...finished 45th overall, fifth on team in 10k at NCAA West Regionals...fourth scorer for Cougar men at NCAA Championships with 164th place finish...named Pac-12 All-Academic second team...Indoor - Took nine seconds off PR in 5000m with time of 14:08.28i at Husky Classic (2/10/12, Seattle)...also PR'd in 3000m by 11 seconds with time of 8:11.57i for 19th place at MPSF Championships (2/24/12, Seattle)...took 13th in 5k at MPSF (14:16.45i)...Outdoor - Ran PR time in steeplechase of 8:55.81 at Mt. HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned six varsity letters at Southridge High...Named captain of both cross country and track and field team senior year...was the state 3A cross country Runner of the Year in 2006 and 2007...during senior season was named 4A cross country Runner of the Year...was named conference Male Scholar Athlete of the Year for Southridge High senior year...placed fourth at 2008 state 4A cross country championships...competed at the BorderClash in Oregon and earned fourth place senior year...placed fourth at the 2007 state 3A cross country meet...earned a fourth place finish in the 3200m at the 2009 state 4A track and field championships...named the 3A track male Athlete of the Year in 2007 and 2008...placed fourth at the 3A track and field championships in the 3200m during junior season...ran a personal record of 9:10.59 senior year in 3200m.

PERSONAL. Born in August 1990, in Toppenish, Wash...father Angel and mother Vicky...two younger brothers, Adrian and Angel III...enjoys playing basketball and bowling...won the Silver Star Award with a 3.93 GPA in high school...Honor Roll throughout high school...majoring in psychology at WSU.
