Disappointing Day for Jeshua Anderson at US Olympic Trials
June 29, 2012
EUGENE -- Washington State alumnus Jeshua Anderson had his 2012 Olympic dream come to an end Friday afternoon at the United States Track & Field Olympic Trials at Eugene's Hayward Field. Anderson, the 2011 US Outdoor intermediate hurdles champion, ran a semifinals time of 53.15 seconds, the 16th and last time of the two heats. Anderson had advanced to the men's 400m hurdles semifinals after finishing third in the fourth qualifying heat, running a time of 50.49 which was ninth-best in the qualifying round. His lifetime-best time of 47.93 was run at Hayward Field at the 2011 US Outdoor Championships. Anderson suffered an injured hamstring earlier this spring and had curtailed his competition in order to treat the injury and train in Pullman.
