COUGARS TRAVEL TO LOS ANGELES FOR USC TROJAN INVITE
Washington State will send 25 men and 23 women competitors from the track and field teams to Los Angeles this weekend for the USC Trojan Invitational meet at Loker Stadium-Cromwell Field...Fri., March 22, the hammer throw will begin at 2 p.m. at West Los Angeles College...at 6 p.m. the javelin throw will begin at USC with 3k and 5k distance races after...Sat., March 23 collegiate running events begin at 9 a.m. and field events begin at 10 a.m...results will be posted at www.wsucougars.com after the meet's conclusion.
COUGAR CROSS COUNTRY HONORED AT WSU BASEBALL MARCH 24 Todd Wakefield, a USTFCCCA All-Academic selection, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the WSU vs. Brown baseball game March 24 (11:50 a.m.)...WSU men's cross country team is being honored for its 2012 USTFCCCA national all-academic honors and will be at Bailey-Brayton Field.

Head coach Rick Sloan is in his 40th season with the Cougar track program; 19th year as a head coach, 18th year as mentor to the combined men's and women's program...Sloan (decathlon/heptathlon) is joined by associate coach Debra Farwell (throws) and assistant coaches Mark Macdonald (hurdles/relays), Ellannee Richardson (sprints/relays), Matt McGee (jumps) and cross country coach Tim Riley (distance)...volunteers include Jeshua Anderson, Chanel James and Courtney Simmons.
