SCOTT-ELLIS TO REPRESENT WSU TRACK & FIELD AT NCAA CHAMPS
Washington State University junior Stephan Scott-Ellis will represent the Cougars at the 2012 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships, Friday and Saturday, March 9 and 10, at the Jacksons Indoor Track at the Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho...Scott-Ellis will compete in the long jump Friday at 5:15 p.m. MT (4:15 p.m. PT) and will also compete in the triple jump Saturday at 5:30 p.m. MT (4:30 p.m. PT)...Live Results will be available at www.flashresults.com...offical website for the meet is www.ncaa.com/championships/trackfield-indoor-men...Cougar results will be posted at www.wsucougars.com, at the completion of the meet.
ABOUT THE COUGAR COACHES
Head coach Rick Sloan is in his 39th season with the Cougar track program; 18th year as a head coach, 17th year as mentor to the combined men's and women's program...Sloan (decathlon/heptathlon) is joined by associate coach Debra Farwell (throws), head coach for cross country Pete Julian (distance), and assistant coaches Mark Macdonald (hurdles/relays), Ellannee Richardson (sprints/relays) and Matt McGee (jumps)...volunteer coaches include Jeshua Anderson, Tim Riley and Wes McCann.

Four outstanding performers have signed National Letters of Intent to join the WSU Track & Field teams beginning in fall 2012: pole vaulter Kristine Felix (Wailuku, Hawai'i), 800m runner Jesse Jorgensen (Spokane CC / Puyallup, Wash.), sprinter Dominique Keel (Beaverton, Ore.), and sprinter Mercedes Young (Country Club Hills, Ill.).
