FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Washington State's Danny Wolf finished 10th in the men's 3000m race and Diana Pickler was 12th in the women's pentathlon during the final day of competition at the NCAA Div. Wolf, a redshirt sophomore from Reno, Nev., ran a 3000m time of 8 minutes, 13.80 seconds for 10th place in the men's 3000m race. The collegiate record-holder in this event, Alistair Cragg of Arkansas, won the race on his home track with a time of 7:55.29. Wolf earned All-America status which is accorded to the top eight finishers and extended to include the top eight American finishers.

Georgia's Hyleas Fountain won the pentathlon with 4,412 points after posting the top marks in the 60m hurdles, long jump and 800m. Fountain was also the 2003 NCAA Outdoor Championships heptathlon winner, besting current Cougar assistant coach Ellannee Richardson by 160 points.

Pickler, who did not better any personal best marks Saturday, ran the 60m hurdles in 8.72 seconds (tied for fifth), high jumped 5-feet, 5 inches (tied for 13th), threw the shot put 36-0 3/4 (eighth), long jumped 18-5 3/4 (ninth), and ran the 800m in a time of 2:30.24 (15th).

Two Cougar men earned All-American status Friday when Matt Mason finished sixth in the long jump and Tim Gehring took 13th in the shot put.
