RENO, Nev. -- Washington State University redshirt junior Tamara Diles and senior Paul Nicoletti opened their indoor seasons with solid performances at the 2005 National Pole Vault Summit at Reno Saturday.

Diles, from Bellevue, Wash., cleared the best collegiate height during the weekend with her 13-feet, 7 1/4 inches (4.15m) vault.

Nicoletti, from Snohomish, Wash., cleared 16-6 3/4 (5.05m) to finish among the middle of the collegiate men competitors.
